PTA Getting involved can be as easy as becoming a member of the PTA! Just by paying the dues, you are helping to fund the PTA programs and events that all Naumann students enjoy. You don't have to be a parent to join. You can be grandparents, aunts or uncles, neighbors, friends, or simply members of the community who want to support local education. Some annual PTA events include Fall Fest, the Holiday Breakfast, the Spelling Bee, the Fun Run, and the Talent Show For more information on joining the PTA, click here.

Of course you can get more directly involved by volunteering.  Besides the Naumann PTA, other campus volunteer groups offer different ways of getting involved and getting to know others who share your interests. For more information on these groups, including contacts and links, click here.

• Room Reps (representatives) are those parents who volunteer to coordinate support for a classroom. They plan class parties and help teachers make special events and activities possible for the classes.

• Watch D.O.G.S  (Dads of Great Students) is a group especially for the men of our community. By volunteering as little as one day on campus during the school year, dads (grandfathers, uncles, father figures...) can provide positive male role models for students and enhance school security and anti-bullying efforts.

• Library volunteers assist with the operations of the library, including helping students and managing books and inventory.

• The Campus Site Based Planning Committee (CSBPC) meets a few times a year to provide input on campus improvement efforts. In September, parents are given the opportunity to express their interest in serving on this committee.

• Through LISD, volunteers may participate in a Mentor Program that pairs mentors with students who need a little more support and in a Literacy Partners program that help students improve their reading skill.

Volunteers may also work directly with teachers or other Naumann faculty. For more information on volunteering at Naumann, click here.

Please Note:. To volunteer on campus you must be an LISD approved volunteer. Approvals must be renewed each school year. To apply for/renew your LISD volunteer approval, click here
